Penang Hill Hiking Activity (Part 1)

Last Sunday just went for another hiking activity at Penang Hill. Took around 5 hours for the whole hike. It was sunny on that day and my polarizer worked well..it gave a good exposure on the photos and not a burnout background. I'm gonna show you photos of human-made landscape and next one will be more on nature..enjoy!

Angthong National Park off Koh Samui

Here's a spinoff from the Koh Samui Island..The Angthong National Park is actually a small island whereby you will be able to sea a very beautiful....well you see it for yourself.. The entrance fees is 400baht per person (RM40 lor..beh tahan..but it's worth it) Here are the photos for you to judge..

AIT Grand Trip 2 Koh Samui: April '08

This AIT trip was organised by the Student Union during the Songkran Festival on the month of April '08. We went by bus and guess what, due to jam on the first day of Songkran (Thai New Year) the journey took...well..16 hours from Bangkok to the pier..and then about 2 hours to Koh Samui on the Ferry..(18 hours overall). Luckily the bus was very comfortable..one person taking 2 seats..yeah. When we reach on the island, well the pier's a lil muddy..but when u get over to the other side..it's very clean. This trip was a '3 days 2 nites' trip and I paid about rm500 including, hotels and transportation and finally it took only 15 hours to get back to AIT..phew. Ok enuff said..here's the photo for you to indulge =)

One Day Kyoto Trip (Jan '08)

Somehow I wanted to share with everyone on my one day winter trip in Kyoto Prefecture which was in Jan '08. Kyoto's been listed as one of the Unesco World Heritage Site with many old temples and monuments dated back hundreds of years old. Honestly, Kyoto is a place for those who loves ancient/historical landscapes in Japan. About an hour on train from Hyogo Prefecture, anyone living in the Kansai Region can have a visit to Kyoto. About 3 hours of bullet train (Shinkansen) for those who's living in Tokyo. Ok enough about typings..Better to show you guys/ gals the photos.

Moongate Hiking/Photo Trip

Just few days ago, I had a hiking/photo trip through the moongate to 'no.84' and then walked down to the Penang Botanical Garden. This is actually part of the preparation for Gunung Kinabalu Hike. The whole hiking took about 6 hours + stopping for photograph and some snack. I went with Mr. Ang who is also a member of Water Watch Penang as well as nature lover and an avid photographer. He taught me some techniques on using the DSLR. Most of the pics are macro photos. Though my lens are not as good as Mr. Ang's lens, I managed to captured some nice shots of the nature.

Many thanx to Mr. Ang for his guidance as well as supporting some flash for the pics. His eyes are very sharp that he can notice those small insects the size of our little finger. keng leh
