I'm very sure that anyone who has been to Bangkok must be wondering why are there so many posters (huge and small) of the Thai King around the city, buildings, shopping complexes, hotels etc you name it you got it~
It's not that it's a rule or even part of the law. It's not because the Thai King is the longest serving monarch in the world. It is because the Thai King, King Bhumibol Adulyadej is highly revered by his people. Visitors and tourists of Thailand might not understand this but I have been in the land of smiles for almost 2 years for my studies. I found from the people that he is the most kind-hearted king and most loved king by the people of his nation I have ever seen in my whole life. I have heard of the King's kind hearted deeds towards his own people, e.g. helping the poor by setting up royal projects; giving up part of his palace ground for agricultural research; during the flood in Bangkok, the Thai King even requested for the flood water to be diverted into his palace ground and He even join in to the discussion on how to solve the flood problems during the big flood which happened last year 2012. Such King is very rare these days in the modern world of democracy. He is the King worthy of love and respect by everyone!
To commemorate my return to Bangkok this year after 2 years, just like the Thais, I would like to wish the Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej continuous long life.
~Long Live the Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej~
