In the Kiosk, Safari of South Africa

Here's my second post of my trip to same Safari..for a short recap, the previous post was 'In the wild, Safari of South Africa' . For this post, it's all going to be about the kiosk of the Lion Park..whereby I got to 'play' with lion and tiger cubs including the chance to see the animals like meerkat..and viewing the tigers at a very close range...

I think this is the puma..

Next, is the den of the white lion and normal lion cubs...well i paid 20 rand (about RM8) for 5 mins..well it's worth it actually...

the huge teeth, paws and sharp nails..


White lions..they're rare and they're not albino..

aww..isn't she cute??

That's all about the cubs..here's the adults of the lion....

Introducing the Siberian tigers..we're just divided by fence..very near right?

These are meerkat..or what you have seen in the Lion King as 'Timon'..but oh well I saw Pumba but my camera battery ran out after that..too bad

In the Wild..Safari of South Africa

This is my first safari trip in South Africa, this one is actually a private game park about an hour from the city center of Pretoria as well as the Maropeng...and they have a zones for different animals although the area are really huge and they are really in the wild. This park is actually called Lion and Rhino Parks..though I only get to see some wild dogs, hyenas, lions (WHITE lions), cheetahs and tigers of coz..

I will be dividing the safari trip in 2 parts in which the 'wild' will be this post and another one will be the 'captived'..
Kruger National Parks will be up next :D

ok here's the post and enjoy the pics..

Zebras resting below a tree under the hot afternoon..with a lake beside

deers, zebras, gemsbok, impalas..the gathering of herbivores




On the left the impalas are licking some 'sweets' and on the right, that fella noticed me actually..lol

And here's the FEEDING SESSION...



These are wild dogs during the feeding session..

it's calling its pack..not so sharp though as i had to zoom in and crop the photos


And these are cheetahs..they were just 10 meters away from the car i was in..they are actually waiting to be fed....i'm very lucky to have been in this feeding time for them..great timing indeed.

2 cheetahs 'chatting'..actually you'll be surprised..it mew..just like cats..




Walking towards the truck for food..they actually ran very fast when they got the food..we quickly wind up the window when they started running afraid of being pounced.

These are the White Lion species..and NO they are not albino..it's another species..
Foods have just been given to them

and then I walked around the grasslands..and i came across some birds and ducks

i never notice this duck until it made loud hissing sounds warning us not to get near her and its eggs..sorry maam..you're camouflaging yourself

an old pelican..and it looked sad..

and of coz some ostriches

Can you spot the 'no dogs' sign?

some rhinos and an elephant..well they are fake actually..lol

Watch out for the next posting..it will feature closeup shots of siberian and bengal tigers as well as playing and cuddling with lion and tiger cubs...
