My final post for Bali series will be the several of the most important activities which should be done in Bali. That is enjoying, relaxing and surfing on Kuta Beach. A visit to the Bali will not be completed if you have not been to the Kuta Beach. Kuta beach is situated adjacent to the Kuta Square whereby the Bali Bombing memorial is situated at. The beach is located very nearby to the Ngurah Rai International Airport.
the stretch of Kuta Beach and the main road are divided by the beach wall. The locals claimed that each entrance of the wall has some Hindu/Balinese significance. |

One very important activity you gotta try is surfing. Surfing costs from USD20-USD50 per house based on your luck and bargaining skills. You will be instructed and taught on the basic skills on surfing. I had lots of fun but very tiring 2 hours session during my first surfing experience. According to the instructor, it will take you about one to two months of daily practice to reach a 'pro' level. According to my personal experience, you will need to be able to swim (not just floating) as you will get yourself drifted into the middle of sea out of sudden and you will have to swim back together with your board.
Below are some photos of 'pro' surfers with their 'stunts'. Definitely I would like to try it again as I was unable to stand up fully...yet.
I was also lucky to be able to encounter a Balinese Hindu religious activity by the Kuta Beach. |
Name as the sunset beach of Bali, you will not want to miss the beautiful sunset from Kuta Beach. However, I was not so lucky as during my trip to Bali, the weather was cloudy. Nevertheless, the view of the beach during dusk was very stunning.
