Basically, Nyhavn canal serves as a gateway from the sea to the old inner city where trading and businesses were carried out. To my surprise, it was also notorious for beer, sailors, and prostitution.
The northern side of Nyhavn are in odd numbers whereas the southern side of Nyhavn are in even numbers. The famous Danish author Hans Christian Andersen lived at Nyhavn 18 for some years which is a lavish mansion. Currently, the canal is being used for boating recreational activity served as Nyhavn Veteran Ship and Museum Harbour.

that's me and finally an identifiable building along the frozen canal of Nyhavn, the Nyhavn 17. Bar and Restaurant |
During the winter, all the boats and yacht are not operating at all |
A restaurant yacht which is not operational during the winter season |
A drawbridge for small ships and yacht waiting to operate back again during the summer and spring. |
During the winter everything is 'magically' frozen. But I'm sure that during the summer, everything will be vibrant in which I hope to experience the summer mood in Scandinavian countries in the near future.
