What a great travel activity to end the year 2012 other than joining an ‘expedition’ and cave exploration for the first time in Malaysia in Gua Tempurung cave. Gua Tempurung is a cave situated in Gopeng, Perak and it is one of the longest caves in Peninsular Malaysia with a 3km length. Also a river cave, the river runs about 1.6km through the hill. The Gua Tempurung Cave is made up of five huge domes with amazing formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Gua Tempurung can be reached by exiting the Gopeng Interchange at the North South Express Highway about 25km south of Ipoh.

As there was landslide on that day, the river became murky and muddy.. |
