A long overdue post, in the year 2007, my childhood dream came true. Finally I got to visit Disneyland. That’s Tokyo Disneyland!! Tokyo Disneyland was the first Disneyland to be built outside of the USA and was opened on April 1983 (28 years ago!!) That’s long!
To date, there are seven themed areas in the park: the World Bazaar; the four classic Disney lands: Adventureland, Westernland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland; and two mini-lands: Critter Country and Mickey's Toontown. The park is noted for its extensive open spaces, to accommodate the large crowds that visit the park. In the year 2009, Tokyo Disneyland hosted approximately 13.65 million guests, ranking it as the third-most visited theme park in the world. (Wikipedia, 2012).
Let’s hop into the dreamland!!
The Cinderella Castle. That's my dream to be able to see one actually. Now it's a dream come true! |

Enter my very first theme park ride!! The Pirates of the Caribbean |
The queue was not that long and it only took about 30 in the line. Surprisingly, not that many visitors though
As far as I could remember, my second ride was the Toy Story's Buzz lightyear.
My next ride was the Haunted Mansion in Fantasyland
This ride was one of the most impressive ride, the 'ghost' was sooo realll which was lighted by hologram as well..the mansion was not scary at all. In fact it was the funniest and most fun haunted mansion ever!
The next ride I would say, is strictly for kids, Alice in Wonderland's "It's a Small World After All"
It's a small world after all. I took this ride in Hong Kong Disneyland as well and heck, it's all the same..I would say that the ride is very colorful but I dozed off twice in Tokyo and Hong Kong during the trip...hahahaha |
Beautiful Night Illumination |
Beautiful garden of the Queen of Heart's Army |
See the reason why I said it's strictly for kids? tonnes of baby carts being left here while the parents too their kids for the ride..hehe |
Need a thrill ride??
Next is the Space Mountain
The final ride (park) of the magical day is the exploration of Pooh's Hunny Hunt House, yes it's Winnie the Pooh
Explore yourself into the Big Book if Pooh's Hunny Hunt |

Have a cuppa and chill! "There's so much to do here", says Mickey Mouse |
As the trip was at the middle of December, you could expect beautiful Christmas illumination besides the standard street performance and fireworks at the end of the day.
~Huge Christmas Tree during day and night~
Christmas Illumination 1: That's Santa Buzz Lightyear! To infinity and beyond!! |
Illumination 2: Get onto a romantic cruise with your love ones! |
Illumination 3: Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore decorating the Christmas tree |
Well that's the end this magical world post. But the next magic will be continued on the next post in Tokyo Disneysea!
