Akihabara a.k.a the electric town of Tokyo

Been to Akihabara several times or I would, the place in Tokyo I have visited the most number of time. A very fun place for video game and anime lovers or some would say Otaku. They have lots of electronical gadgets such as the ipod, psp, DS etc. By moving around looking for a good bargain, you can actually get your stuff at a significant cheap price.I got several gadgets such as ipod nano, camera etc in Akihabara..well that's last year. With the economic crisis, the Japanese Yen is very 'expensive' at the moment. Guess what I 'lost' about rm200-rm300 in exchange of RM1000 into Japanese Yen..I got 33000 yen last year compare to this year of 25000 yen...die lor..Ok enough about economic crisis. In Akihabara you can also get to see some cosplays..I have seen some and prefer their fashion compare to those in Harajuku. Ok..let's see the pics....It will consists of shots from last year as well as this year.

Shinto Style Wedding @ Meiji Shrine

Meiji Shrine is a Shinto Shrine that is dedicated to a deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shouken. It is located just beside the Harajuku Station and as usual can be taken through the Yamanote line and some other train lines. (I've forgotten the name). Meiji Shrine is located in a forest that covers an area of 700,000 square-meters (about 175 acres). This area is covered by an evergreen forest that consists of 120,000 trees of 365 different species, which were donated by people from all parts of Japan when the shrine was established. The forest is visited by many people both as a spiritual home of the people and as a recreation and relaxation area in the center of Tokyo (Wikipedia, 2008). Here are the photos on the surrounding as well as Shinto Style Wedding ceremony in the Meiji Shrine Grounds.

Harajuku!!

This is my 2nd time in Harajuku. It's famous internationally for youth style and fashion (weird and peculiar i would say; I prefer the cosplay in Akihabara though)..It's accessible through the Yamanote line as well. Across the station is the Takeshita street. Along the street, there're numerous shops, restaurants etc along the streets..quite packed though but for some fashion lovers, you will like it..ok here're the photos for you to enjoy..
